Organizacja terrorystyczna Asz-Szabab twierdzi, że zabiła 47 żołnierzy somalijskich i przejęła 6 pojazdów wojskowych w wyniku ataku na bazę wojskową w pobliżu miasta Bariire. Wkrótce jednak armia Somalii odzyskała kontrolę nad bazą.
